چکیده
Low salinity water (LSW) injection is a promising Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) technique that has the potential to improve oil recovery and been studied by many researchers. LSW flooding in carbonates widely evaluated coreflooding tests prior studies. A closer look at literature on indicates number of gaps shortcomings. It difficult understand exact relationship between different controlling parameters effect carbonates. The active mechanisms involved improvement are still uncertain more analyses required. To predict performance study displacement, data collected from available experimental studies were analyzed using analysis approaches. We used linear regression relationships single incremental factor (RF). Correlations rock, oil, brine properties tertiary RF weak negligible. Subsequently, we oil/brine multivariable regression. Relatively strong correlations found for combination RF. also nonlinear applying machine learning (ML) models, such as artificial neural network (ANN), support vector (SVM), decision tree (DT). These models showed better fitting results compared Among applied ML DT provided best correlation parameters, ANN SVM overfitted testing data. Finally, based changes effluent PDIs concentration, interfacial tension, pH, zeta potential, pressure drop.

SPE 118830 Efficient Simulation for Low-Salinity Waterflooding in Porous and Fractured Reservoirs
Low-salinity brine injection has emerged as a promising, cost-effective improved oil recovery (IOR) method for waterflooding reservoirs. Laboratory tests and field applications show that low-salinity waterflooding could lead to significant reduction of residual oil saturation. There has been a growing interest with an increasing number of low-salinity waterflooding studies. However, there are f...
متن کاملTitle : “ Evaluation of the Impact of Reservoir Heterogeneity and Mixing on Low Salinity Waterflooding ” Speaker :
The impact of heterogeneity induced mixing between the injected low salinity water and the high salinity connate water is investigated in secondary low salinity waterflooding (LSW). Although LSW has proved to be a promising EOR process in laboratory experiments and field trials, its efficiency can be altered due to mixing with in situ higher salinity connate water. This mixing is caused by mole...
متن کاملSPE 113410 Application of Coalbed Methane Water to Oil Recovery by Low Salinity Waterflooding
Development and production of coalbed methane involves the production of large volumes of water. The salinities and sodium adsorption ratios of coalbed methane (CBM) water from the Powder River Basin range from 370 to 1,940 ppm and 5.6 to 69 respectively. Surface discharge of CBM water can create serious environmental problems; subsurface injection is generally viewed as economically nonviable....
متن کاملLow-Dimensional Data-Driven Grasping
In general, automatic grasp synthesis can be thought of the task of finding the combination of hand posture (intrinsic degrees of freedom, or DOF’s) and position (extrinsic DOF’s) that produces a stable grasp, according to a given grasp quality metric. From this perspective, it can be approached as an optimization problem, seeking to maximize the value of the grasp quality Q expressed as a func...
متن کاملEnhancing Learning from Imbalanced Classes via Data Preprocessing: A Data-Driven Application in Metabolomics Data Mining
This paper presents a data mining application in metabolomics. It aims at building an enhanced machine learning classifier that can be used for diagnosing cachexia syndrome and identifying its involved biomarkers. To achieve this goal, a data-driven analysis is carried out using a public dataset consisting of 1H-NMR metabolite profile. This dataset suffers from the problem of imbalanced classes...
